A man, between 60 to 65 years old, was killed in Millerton Lake on May 26, 2010 when his boat crashed into a rocky shoreline on the Madera side of the lake. This boating accident occurred at Gold Bay at around 1:45 p.m. A resident of the Hidden Lake Estates called 911 and reported an unconscious man bleeding profusely by his wrecked boat.
Lifeguards present at the lake performed CPR on the injured person, but he did not respond. The injured man was airlifted to Fresno’s Community Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
The investigation is still underway to know if the victim was under influence or if it was a mechanical failure. If this accident occurred due to a mechanical failure, then the victim’s family might be entitled for compensation. The family of the victim should get in touch with an experienced lawyer who can hire personal detectives to find the cause of the accident. The findings may be in favor of the family and allow them the ability to at least right the scales of justice.
